‘Reyes of El Sereno’ is the first in a series of short films Brian Miller is making about the folkart of backyard haunts, winding path “mazes”, and DIY haunted houses. This first installment focuses on Los Angeles artist Albert Reyes and the elaborate haunted house he has been working on in his backyard for over a decade. This video portrait takes the viewer on a trip to Albert’s hometown, his work studio, and of course through the haunted house itself. Albert Reyes is a featured artist in the Giant Robot Bienalle 3 at the Japanese American National Museum in downtown Los Angeles. His exhibit includes a haunted house as well many of his prints, paintings, drawings, and photographs. For more information, visit Albert’s website a thttp://thealbertreyes.com Grab a free download of the score to the film, by S.R. Cano, at:http://deathbombarc.com/ROEOST/
