Philidelphia, PA: Human Failure, a solo of works by Michael C. Hsiung (me!) recently opened June 4th at the Slingluff Gallery in Philadelphia, PA June 4th. Human Failure featured pen on paper and ink on paper works as well as various strange depictions of mermen, unitaurs, and hawkbird men. As a part of their opening, Mel and Travis collaborated on their first zine, WHO’S GONNA EMPTY THE CATBOX??? which will be available at the opening.

Last Saturday May 14th, AR4T (Artists Republic For Tomorrow) in Laguna Beach hosted the Human Pyramids Artist Collective’s second international group show, Foreign Affairs. The show included works by HP Artists: Ben Brough, Hovin Wang, Teddy Kelly, PJOTA, Philip Evans, Michael Hsiung, Mari Araki, The Love Movement, Tiffany Liu, Soy Panday, Pato Conde, Pacolli & Mildred, Claudia Marclay, Guillaume Jolly, Todd Bratrud, Antoine Corbineau, Brooke Weeber, Noel Ill, andTeri Hendrich. We had some hand-shaken tequila from Marquez de Valencia, a Yeti, free Juxtapoz mags, a ice cream truck (donated by Archies to Benefit the Red Cross Japan Relief Fund), and some cool HP shirts courtesy of Ambiguous Clothing.
