PORTLAND, OR:  We just returned from our trip out to Portland, OR for The Vans Off the Wall Gallery Show, which opened at the Breeze Block Gallery, last Friday July 15, 2011.The opening was a huge success, and thanks to all the folks who ventured out to see the artworks of Jay Howell,Tim Kerr, Marco Zamora, and Rich Jacobs. The live performance by Sun Foot (Ron Burns, Chris Johanson, Brian Mumford) really put on a rocking show. Thanks again to Paige and the folks at Breeze Block Gallery, Vans and the kind friends who put me up for the evening!

PORTLAND, OR:  This coming Friday July 15th, The Breeze Block Gallery in Portland, OR will be presenting the Vans Off The Wall Gallery Show, featuring works by Jay Howell, Marco Zamora, Tim Kerr, and Rich Jacobs. CHINATOWN, LOS ANGELES:  Last June 11th, when Marco Zamora’s New Works opened at the POVevolving Gallery in Chinatown, Los Angeles, Marco had created a colorful cement block wall as part of his installation.  He recently posted the installation of this piece on his blog.  It’s really pretty impressive . . !!!

Los Angeles, CA: Last Saturday June 11, artist Marco Zamora’s New Works opened at the POVevolving Gallery in Chinatown, Los Angeles.  The opening reception ran from 6 pm to 10 pm.  We arrived around 9 pm, but there were still lots of folks in the gallery checking out Marco’s beautifully detailed pieces.  The show runs from June 11 to July 9th.

Los Angeles: POVevolving Gallery presents New Works by artist and Vans collaborator Marco Zamora June 11th, from 6 - 10 PM, in Chinatown, LA. Known for his detailed and intricate works in graphite and paintings of urban landscapes and its inhabitants, Los Angeles based Zamora “[produces] a richly complex and experimental image …  goes into a neighborhood and shoots a spot, recontectualizing and collaging figures to create each paintings identity.”  A graduate from California Institute of the Arts, with a Bachelor of Fine art, Marco’s works can be seen in a variety of Van’s ads and collaboration projects as well as galleries up and down the west coast.

He recently posted some more preview images for this Saturday’s opening.
